The boycott is a form of protest and pressure to be used against those who forcibly dispossessing people of their freedom and uses the resources of others by adopting colonial policies, uprooting populations whole of their lands, to build new illegal settlements. Today the eyes of the world, the colonial government put under complete Israeli siege of the Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip, forcing over a million and half people live in the largest open-air prison in the world, preventing the passage of relief supplies needs.
The Israeli government imprisons thousands of people (currently at around 11,000), daily builds settlements, destroying houses and crop land illegally appropriated the water of Palestinians, systematically implementing a real ethnic cleansing methods criminals use against the people Palestinian non-conventional weapons.
It 'clear that the Zionist state of Israel since its birth, is nothing but the bastion of imperialist interests in the region of the Middle East, really represents the tip of the iceberg of the old / new colonialism that aims at the global exploitation of peoples and their resources.
Today's initiative is framed within the International Campaign for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions of the war economy and the apartheid state of Israel, and today we are at Livorno from its port because the shipping company ZIM, enters in Europe the goods produced in Israel exploiting the resources of the occupied territories to the Palestinians. The ZIM is the largest Israeli shipping and provides transport services are vital to Israel's economy and its armed forces, and not coincidentally arrived in Livorno, which is near the U.S. base at Camp Darby, a site that is essential to supply Israel's military, as happened during the assault on Gaza in 2008/2009.
